The short version

Myceli8 is a device-first web app. Your signal, profile, progress, entity choices, purchases (unlocks) and on-device usage counters live in your browser's local storage. There is no account and no server copy of them. We do not set tracking cookies and we do not sell or share your data.

What stays only in your browser

• Your name and birthday, if you enter them to compute a signal (used on-device to derive a hue/archetype; not sent to us).
• Your profile, progress, entity and stage choices.
• Your unlocks/entitlements (which cosmetic items you own on this device).
• If you use "Restore" on the Upgrades page, the email you type there is saved only in your browser to help you re-apply a purchase; it is not sent to us.
• Anonymous funnel counters (small integers like visit, activate, view-pricing, buy-click, purchase) used to understand the site. No names, emails, or IP addresses are stored in them.

Clearing your browser, or using the "Wipe all data" button on the data page, deletes all of it. A backup file you export is your only copy.

The few things that leave your device

• Payments (Stripe). If you buy an item or support the signal, you are taken to Stripe's hosted checkout. Stripe processes your payment and card details directly; we never see or store your card number. Stripe's handling is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
• AI companion (your own key). The companion is bring-your-own-key. When you use it, your messages and your API key go straight from your browser to the AI provider you choose (for example OpenAI or Anthropic), never through our servers. That provider's privacy policy applies to those requests. Your key is never included in a backup.
• Hosting & privacy analytics (Cloudflare). The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without storing personal data or building cross-site profiles. Standard server logs may briefly record request metadata for security and reliability.
• Updates (no mailing list yet). The interest form does not store your email; there is no server-side mailing list at this time, so submitting it does not add you to a list. For launch news, follow @moremotionau. If you email us directly, we keep that message only to reply.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. There is no Google, Meta, or ad-network pixel. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless.

Children

Myceli8 is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices and rights

Because your data is device-side, you control it directly: export, restore, or wipe it from the data page. For any question about data we hold, email [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal information; we will help you exercise them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
